Jennifer Browning founded J. Browning Designs in 2012, and brings a background that is anything but typical for a home builder.
She holds a B.S. in Education from The Ohio State University and a Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School.
In her early career, she practiced law at boutique firms and global law firms, honing sharp client relations skills, before moving into senior corporate attorney roles at Fortune 500 companies, where she led large high-performing teams, reported to CEOs and corporate boards, and oversaw multi-million-dollar budgets.
Built from firsthand frustration
Jennifer's path to founding a residential homebuilding company was shaped by firsthand frustration. During her legal and corporate career, she hired general contractors on several occasions to renovate her personal homes — and was repeatedly disappointed by the same failures: poor attention to detail, budget overruns, missed deadlines, and a chronic lack of communication.
Convinced there was a better way, she leaned into her own skillsets and built her own home in St. Petersburg — and discovered her true calling. She left the corporate world behind and launched J. Browning Designs to fill a genuine gap in the market.
