Jennifer Browning
Jennifer Browning founded J. Browning Designs in 2012. She holds a B.S. in Education from The Ohio State University and a Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School. Early in her career she practiced law at boutique firms and global law firms, honing sharp client relations skills before moving into senior corporate attorney roles at Fortune 500 companies, where she led large high-performing teams, reporting to CEOs and corporate boards, and oversaw multi-million-dollar budgets.
Jennifer has led numerous high-end renovations and new construction projects across St. Petersburg and South Tampa. As both designer and GC, she brings a holistic perspective to every build, guided by the belief that elegant, functional, and livable homes are the product of great design
Principal
Sean Sharp
Sean has been in the building industry as long as he can remember. He started as a finish carpenter and later operated his own custom woodworking business specializing in staircases, wine rooms and custom furniture. He transitioned to luxury homebuilding as a superintendent in 2019 and quickly climbed the ranks to project manager and general manager within a few years for several South Tampa and St. Petersburg area builders.
Through Sean's knowledge and expertise, he earned his own Certified General Contractor's license in 2024 and has completed multiple large-scale projects on his own before joining J. Browning Designs, where oversees all operational aspects of the construction business. He takes pride in being hands- on throughout the entire build process and collaborating closely with clients to bring their visions to life.
Director of Operations Field SuperintendentSteve Nelson
Steve, a lifelong Pinellas County resident, started in the residential construction industry right out of high school with a home renovation company, where he developed a strong foundation in quality craftsmanship and sound building practices. He transitioned into custom home construction as an assistant superintendent, gaining hands-on experience managing subcontractors, coordinating schedules, overseeing quality control, and ensuring projects were completed to the highest standards.
In more recent years, Steve has advanced into managing and building homes in the luxury and ultra luxury residential market, honing his skills in client relationships and the most advanced products and home building solutions available. He joined J. Browning Designs in 2026, as a field superintendent, leveraging his comprehensive understanding of all facets of residential construction. Steve's attention to detail and strong relationship skills ensures a positive customer experience from start to finish.
Office Manager/Job CoordinatorKelly Benitez Cruz
Kelly grew up in a construction business, as her parents own a company that provides remodeling services. She assisted that business for several years with office administration, bookkeeping, and payroll, where she kept the office running smoothly. Her fluency in English and Spanish is an asset in her field. She is also pursuing a degree in Business Administration.
As the Office Manager for J. Browning Designs, she enjoys supporting the team and clients with a high degree of organizational effectiveness, strong communication, and attention to detail, which keeps daily operations running efficiently. She is proud to be part of a team that is committed to quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service.
